Current Text

If you choose the Current Text Option, we will transfer the title on the exterior of your existing videotape to the surface of your new DVD. This requires us to manually type your handwritten video labels for printing on your DVD.

On many orders, people will number their videotapes, and create a list on a separate sheet of paper with the "desired" titles. If you do this, we'll align the numbering scheme on the tapes with your corresponding list. We're real flexible here, just include a note with your package if you need custom work. These are your videos, we want them to accurately reflect your wishes for decades to come.

Archival Gold DVD Media with Text

If you choose this option, we will use an Archival Grade DVD during the transfer process.  While the rear (data side) of the DVD is gold, the front side will be white, similar to the "Current Text" option above.  We will transfer the title on the exterior of your existing videotape to the surface of your new DVD.

Archival Grade DVDs have an estimated lifespan of 100-300 years.  Our standard DVDs can last from 30-100 years depending on how you store and use them.  The gold layer tends to oxidize slower than other metallic alloys, thus a longer lifespan.  Results may vary.

Do you need archival grade media?  What do you own in our house today that is 100 years or older?  Do you still own an 8-track player from 30 years ago?  Do you have a 3.5" floppy disk drive on your computer from 10 years ago?  Are you transferring a VHS tape from just 20 years ago to DVD?

It is very likely that your DVD content will be transferred to another medium not yet invented by someone not yet born before the next century turns.  Still, if you want an estimated 100-300 years lifespan that comes with Archival Grade DVDs, we offer the option.   Whether you order our premium grade DVD or the Archival Grade DVD, remember that the DVD can be scratched or broken at day 1.  Be sure to order extra copies for safekeeping or enroll in our archival program for maximum recoverability.

Color Picture and Text

If you choose the Color Picture and Text Option, we'll place up to 2 color pictures on your DVD surface that you submit.  Simply enclose printed photos per DVD with instruction.  Alternatively, we will print several thumbnail pictures from your DVD movie on the DVD face.  We're real flexible here and can create almost anything you suggest.  An example of customer submitted photos and thumbnails are shown below.  If you do not provide printed pictures, we will print random thumnail pictures from your movie.
